From 1946 to 1972, Quezon City was the capital of the Philippines. Today, it is a hub of information technology and an entertainment center in the country. Many government offices are still located in this metropolis, also known as the City of New Horizons.
Students studying in Quezon City can enjoy the botanical gardens and wildlife of the Philippines while earning an undergraduate degree. The city has many landmarks and memorials dedicated to important people in Filipino history, such as President Manuel Luis Quezon and Melchora Aquino. Most of the major broadcasting networks in the Philippines call Quezon City home, giving students interning opportunities close at hand. At the Goethe Institute Art Gallery, Filipino art is the focus.
