The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the largest Arab state located in Western Asia. It is also the largest country in the Middle East and takes up 80 percent of the Arabian Peninsula. It is bordered by Oman, Yemen, Iraq and Kuwait. Most of Saudi Arabia is desert, with some forests located along the Red Sea. It has been a strategic location throughout its history, serving as a major player on trade routes in the region. It is also known as the birthplace of Mohammed, the prophet of Islam, and pilgrims regularly travel to Mecca and Medina to pay homage to Mohammed.

The university system in Saudi Arabia takes many of its features form the American higher education system. Some adjustments have been made to accommodate the needs of Islamic students. Students who are interested in pursuing master's training in business will study at one of the country's universities.

Saudi Arabia welcomes international students and provides special scholarships for international students to help offset the costs of a University education in the country. Students who study in Saudi Arabia are able to immerse themselves in the Arabic culture and language. Master's in business, however, are taught in English, making it easier for many students to pursue their education.

Saudi Arabia has 21 state universities and 24 private universities and colleges. The cost for studying in Saudi Arabia varies depending on the location chosen, but many students are able to use the scholarship programs to study for free. Saudi students get their education and books for free.

The academic year in Saudi Arabia typically begins in September, with a semester running through December, followed by exams. A second semester begins in early February and runs through May, with a period for exams after. Universities will take breaks to celebrate Islamic holidays.

Students who graduate from a university in Saudi Arabia with a graduate degree in business will find a variety of opportunities. Within Saudi Arabia, over 8 million foreign workers find work in a variety of fields, and some business graduates will choose to work in the country. Students can also use what they learned about the Arabic people and the Arabian culture to pursue work in other countries in Arabia. They can also use their understanding of the Arabic culture to return to European or American companies that do business with Arab customers and clients.

 

Jeddah is the largest seaport on the Red Sea in Saudi-Arabia. Located on the western edge of the country, it acts as a gateway to Islam’s two holiest cities, Mecca and Medina. While it is a big hub for religious pilgrimages, the city may be best known for its resorts and fishing industry.

Earning a degree in Jeddah is beneficial for a variety of reasons. Students can travel to the city’s historical district to see traditional homes from the seventh century. There may also be opportunities for students to work alongside professionals in the scientific and engineering industries because of the city’s focus on innovation. The learning experience here is often filled with culture, art and science.
